Leah Dowdy is a bright and energetic New York City based actress, dancer and singer-songwriter. From appearing in television shows such as Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens, Girls5Eva, The Sinner and How To Get Away With Murder, to starring in commercial campaigns for Hilton Hotels and even performing live on the TODAY Show, Leah is a busy artist on the go.
Born and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Leah's passion for performance began at a young age when she first started taking dance lessons at The Rock School West where she studied the art of ballet, jazz and hip-hop. Her love of dance quickly translated into an equally fervent love affair with the theatre, and she received numerous leading roles in local plays and musicals as a teenager. Leah went on to further study her craft at the collegiate level, shifting her focus to the silver screen, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Film Studies, a BA in Communication & Rhetoric and a minor in Dance.
Described by Hoda Kotb as a “bright light” and one to watch out for, Leah hopes to continue spreading love, laughter and positivity through her various artistic endeavors, one story at a time.
