MUSIC
“The most rewarding part of being a songwriter is helping others feel seen and heard. Whether that’s through my lyrics, pushing for systemic change across the industry or shining a spotlight on those who are often overlooked.”
Almost Famous
Leah was a booked and busy actress when the Universe decided to humble her with a global pandemic. Rude. Shaken but undeterred, she decided to dust off her Lisa Frank diary and revisit her passion for songwriting while quarantined with her family in the woods of Pennsylvania.
Flip The Script
Constructing a home-studio in the closet of her childhood bedroom, Leah taught herself to produce using LogicPro and began releasing singles while simultaneously completing an online specialization in Music Business from Berklee College of Music. Classic overachiever.
Live Debut
Her unexpected venture into music soon caught the attention of producers at NBC, earning Leah a coveted musical guest spot on the TODAY Show. Yes, the first time she ever performed her original music it was live in front of Hoda & Jenna.
Take A Beat
After releasing her debut EP “What Almost Was," Leah realized that she likes to be in bed by midnight and is most passionate about writing songs for other artists, especially black and brown women in taboo genres such as folk and indie rock.
Next Verse
Leah hopes to continue putting the human experience into verse by toplining for industry icons, landing a publishing deal and maybe winning a few trophies along the way.
